Birthday Time!

Last month was my 16^th birthday. On the Saturday before my birthday I had an Alice in Wonderland themed party, and then Sunday I signed at a local church.  After church, we stopped by the video store on the way home to pick up some movies.  Four of them we now own, and the other we returned the next day.

On Saturday before the guests arrived, Mom and I headed outside to make a path directing people to the party area.  Most of the kids (and grownups) did all of the things along the way.

As people arrived, we decorated cookies outside.   Then we headed inside to play charades.  The topics varied from easy to hard, things like chair and eating to things like kangaroo and wizard.  

When we'd played a few rounds, I opened the presents some people brought.  I enjoyed that this birthday wasn't all about the presents.  Instead, it was about having a good time with friends.

Miracle spent all morning in the kitchen decorating my cake.  Here's my reaction including blowing out the candles early.
